Order for fresh staff fixation in schools

The Kerala government has issued orders for fresh staff fixation by including school students who had applied for Aadhaar till July 14, 2025 and those who had applied for correction of errors, Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty has said. Addressing a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday, the Minister said this would help take back teachers who had lost their posts owing to division fall. Students’ UID (unique identification number) had been made compulsory to determine student strength in schools. However, some students had not been included in the headcount owing to minor errors in the Aadhaar card or as they had not received the cards. This, in turn, had led to loss of teachers’ posts, the Minister said.
