New Delhi: Google has officially made an announcement in which they have introduced March Pixel Drop, unveiling a set of the latest software features for Pixel devices. This latest update aims to expand capabilities for the Gemini assistant, improve search tools and interface features, and add additional functions for the older Pixel models.

This also includes several of the capabilities that Google has announced at the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, such as the agentic capabilities for the Gemini and improved Circle to Search. These features are starting to roll out gradually, and they will go on to reach supported Pixel devices over the coming weeks.

Google is also adding the latest capabilities to its Gemini assistant that enable it to complete certain tasks within the supported applications.

The users can ask Gemini to carry out actions such as ordering groceries or booking rides in select applications, with the assistant running these tasks in the background while users monitor or interrupt them if needed. This feature is currently rolling out in beta to the Pixel 10 series.

Google has also upgraded its Circle to Search feature with the latest visual search capabilities that allow multi-object image recognition. The users can circle an image on the screen to search for individual items and view related products. This feature also adds a virtual try-on option for certain clothing items.

Magic Cue Google’s context-aware suggestion tool is receiving upgrades that enable it to offer recommendations based on user conversation and preferences. Google is also adding a desktop-style interface when Pixel devices are connected to an external display. This feature also enables users to run applications in a larger workspace similar to a desktop environment.

The At a Glance widget is being upgraded; the widget can now show commuting information, such as updates on departures, delays, and alternative routes. The users can also get real-time game scores and much more. The update also adds five AI-generated icon styles. Google has also added the latest SpongeBob SquarePants Theme Pack.

Google Pixel devices’ built-in music recognition tool is getting standalone applications. This latest application has a history tab that lets users discover songs that they previously heard and play them on their preferred music applications.

Pixel Watch can now send alerts if the user accidentally leaves their phone behind, and locks the user’s device the moment the user moves out of its range. The one-hand gesture controls on the Pixel Watch 4 are now going to roll out to the Pixel Watch 3.
