PM Modi arrived in the Netherlands after wrapping up his UAE trip on Friday. This marks the second leg of his five-nation diplomatic tour aimed at strengthening India’s strategic partnerships across trade, technology, innovation and green growth.

PM Modi is visiting the Netherlands at the invitation of Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten. According to reports, the PM is scheduled to call on King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima and hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Jetten.

The discussions are expected to focus on expanding cooperation in sectors including semiconductors, green hydrogen, innovation, defence, water management and resilient supply chains.

In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “Landed in Amsterdam. This visit to the Netherlands is taking place at a time when the free trade agreement between India and the EU has given a significant boost to trade and investment relations. It offers the opportunity to strengthen ties in areas such as semiconductors, water, clean energy, and more.

“I will hold talks with Prime Minister Rob Jetten and pay a visit to Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima. I also look forward to addressing the community during an event on the morning of the 16th," he added.

PM Modi’s five-nation tour from May 15 to 20 includes visits to Sweden, Norway and Italy as India looks to deepen engagement with Europe and the Gulf region amid shifting global economic and geopolitical dynamics.
