YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former Kadapa Deputy Mayor Bandi Nityananda Reddy, who was reportedly accused in the murder case of YSRCP activist and realtor Pedda Dastagiri, was questioned by officials at Chinnachowk police station in Kadapa for the second consecutive day.
“With the permission of the court, the police took Nithyananda Reddy into custody on Tuesday. Since he did not answer any question asked by the police, Chinnachowk Circle Inspector (CI) B. Ramakrishna Reddy continued questioning him at the police station for two consecutive days,” the sources said.
Meanwhile, Peddastagiri was allegedly murdered on April 6, 2026, and the police have already arrested 11 accused in the case. Initially, Nityananda Reddy was absconding for 20 days after the murder, however, he surrendered to the police 10 days ago.
