Property Dealer Dies After Falling Down Stairs During Fight With Nephew in Shakurpur

New Delhi: A 53-year-old property dealer died after allegedly falling down a staircase during a heated altercation with his nephew in northwest Delhi’s Shakurpur on Wednesday.

The nephew sustained critical stab injuries, while the man’s niece was also injured in the incident.The deceased was identified as Rajesh, a resident of Rani Bagh. His nephew, Deepak, who lives in Shakurpur with his mother and two sisters, is undergoing treatment.During inquiry, police found that around 2 pm, Rajesh allegedly attacked Deepak, who was washing clothes on the first floor, and stabbed him multiple times in the chest and abdomen. Rajesh also allegedly slashed the hand of his niece during the altercation.Police said Rajesh then fell down the stairs and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. A case has been registered.
