The State government has decided to name the upcoming greenfield radial road connecting the Nehru Outer Ring Road at Raviryala with the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR) after Ratan Tata.

The interchange at Raviryal is already named after Ratan Tata, the ‘Tata Interchange’. In yet another proposal, the first of its kind, the government has decided to name a road after US President Donald Trump. The high-profile road along the United States Consulate General in the State Capital would be called ‘Donald Trump Avenue’.

The State government has decided to address a communication to the Ministry of External Affairs and the US Embassy informing them about the plans. The development follows Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s announcement regarding the government's resolve to name important roads in Hyderabad after leading global corporations. The Chief Minister made the announcement addressing the annual US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) conclave in Delhi earlier this year.

It was also decided to name a prominent stretch as the ‘Google Street’, recognising the global impact and contribution of Google Maps and the corporation. The road along its upcoming campus, set to be Google’s largest campus outside the US, at Hyderabad’s Financial District, would be given due recognition.

These proposals form part of the Telangana government’s initiative to position the State as a symbol of innovation-driven India. In addition, Microsoft and Wipro are also likely to get recognition on the city’s topography with a Wipro Junction and a Microsoft Road, in line with the Chief Minister’s vision.
