The Regional Cost and Management Accountants’ Convention (RCMAC 2026), hosted by the Southern India Regional Council of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), commenced at Leonia Resorts, Shamirpet, on Friday under the theme ‘Reimagining the CMA Profession: Driving sustainable value & strategic impact’.
The two-day convention was inaugurated by Chairman of the National Cost Council and former president of ICMAI A. S. Durga Prasad, with senior office-bearers including CMA K.Ch.A.V.S.N. Murthy, Vijay Kiran Agastya, KVN Lavanya and Khaja Jalal Uddin and A.N. Raman delivered the keynote address.
Mr. Durga Prasad underscored the need for CMAs to embrace digital fluency, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) literacy and strategic leadership to enhance enterprise performance and national growth architecture. Various speakers highlighted the evolving role of CMAs as strategic business partners focused on value creation, governance, and sustainable growth.
The convention, organisers said, will feature technical sessions, panel discussions and expert deliberations on emerging trends in industry, finance, governance and management, aimed at preparing CMAs for future-ready leadership.
