Vizianagaram District Medical and Health Officer S. Jeevan Rani on Tuesday urged people to adopt healthy habits and seek treatment only from qualified doctors, cautioning against relying on advice from untrained individuals. She said technology, including Artificial Intelligence, would play a vital role in diagnosis, treatment and surgeries in the coming years. Marking World Health Day, she led a rally in Vizianagaram and highlighted the government’s initiatives to strengthen public health services.

In another programme, Sukhibhava Hospitals Managing Director P.S.V. Rama Rao said that a sedentary lifestyle is the root cause of many health issues and heart attacks at an early age. Along with senior general physician P.V. Sivaram, he inaugurated a medical camp and health awareness programme for the 50 plus age group organised by Vasavi Foundation on the occasion of World Health Day.
