A Russian artist, who had been known for mocking President Vladimir Putin, was shot dead in eastern Poland, police said, adding that two Belarusians have been arrested.
The 44-year-old victim, identified as Semyon Skrepetsky, was shot on a street near the city center Monday morning and later died of his injuries, Anadolu Agency quoted the police.
“An investigation is being conducted… into the murder of a 44-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation… known in the media as Semyon Skrepecki," the spokesman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin, Marcin Kozak, told reporters.
He further said that two Belarusian nationals have been arrested in connection with his murder.
