A three-day capacity building workshop, jointly organised by Sreenarayanaguru Open University (SGOU) and the Commonwealth of Learning - Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA), commenced here on Tuesday.
The workshop on ‘Course Enhancement with Employability Attributes and Development of Skill-based Courses’ is being organised for the university’s faculty members and academic heads. The workshop was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Jagathy Raj V.P. while B. Shadrach, director, CEMCA, delivered the keynote address. The workshop focusses on reforming curricula by integrating vocational skills and enhancing the university’s academic capacity.
This training will help restructure courses based on the Graduate Employability Framework and the Result-Based Management Framework. Over the coming days, expert training will continue on topics such as designing skill-oriented courses using Open Educational Resources (OER).
