Shefali Jariwala, best known as the unforgettable 'Kaanta Laga' girl, passed away unexpectedly on June 27 at age 42. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, late Friday night (June 27).Reportedly, she was declared dead on arrival at 11:15 PM. Here is everything we know so far.Possible triggers: Fasting, injections & a risky routineInitial reports suggest her death may have been caused by cardiac arrest. However, more details have emerged pointing toward a combination of low blood pressure, gastric distress, and possibly self-medication.As reported by NDTV, Shefali had been fasting for a religious puja that day and reportedly consumed stale fried rice in the afternoon.

She also took an anti-ageing injection, something she’d been doing monthly for years, without recent medical advice.Use of Glutathione, vitamin C injections, and acidity pillsAccording to the reports, the police found glutathione (a skin-whitening drug), vitamin C injections, and acidity pills at her residence. Medical experts warn that such treatments, especially during fasting, can put immense strain on the heart.

Reportedly, Shefali had been taking these injections regularly for 7–8 years, thinking it helped her look younger.
