Social media influencer Chinnu Pappu’s death: man questioned found dead in Kasaragod

A 29-year-old man who was questioned by the police in connection with the death of social media influencer Reshma, 24, popularly known as Chinnu Pappu, was found dead at his house inKasaragod district of Keralaon Sunday afternoon (February 15, 2026).

The deceased has been identified as Sandesh, a native of Uliyathadukka in Kasaragod. He was engaged in door polishing work.

The police said Sandesh had been summoned to the station as part of the probe into the death of the influencer, who was found dead in Choori in Kasaragod on February 9. After his statement was recorded, he was allowed to go. Hours later, at around 2 p.m., Sandesh was found hanging inside his residence.

On receiving information, the police reached the spot and completed inquest proceedings. The body was shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination.

Officials said they are examining whether there are any links between the two deaths and have intensified the probe to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incidents.

Family members and local residents are in shock over the youth’s death. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
