Stalin unveils foundation for Mini TIDEL Park in Tiruvannamalai

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Friday virtually unveiled the foundation for the construction of a mini TIDEL Park in Tiruvannamalai. To be constructed at a cost of ₹37 crore, the mini TIDEL Park to be spread over 63,200 sq.ft. would generate employment for about 600 professionals.

Mini TIDEL Parks are established in Tier II and III cities in the State aimed at fostering growth, support startups and create jobs for IT professionals at each location, contributing to the socio-economic development of these cities. The Mini TIDEL Parks in Salem, Thanjavur, Thoothukudi and Villupuram were inaugurated last year.

“The construction of Mini TIDEL Parks in Karaikudi, Tiruppur, Vellore are underway. These will be functional soon. Tenders have been floated for setting up Mini TIDEL Parks in Rasipuram in Namakkal district.The work would commence soon,” an official release said.

In another event, Mr. Stalin launched the annual Verkalai Thedi initiative under which youth, who are children of Tamils settled abroad, are given a cultural tour of Tamil Nadu so as to help them revive their ties with the State. This year, a total of 99 have been selected from 14 countries, would take part in the programme. 

The CM also virtually inaugurated new buildings constructed in the Egmore museum campus at a cost of ₹6 crore. He also virtually inaugurated tourism infrastructure set up in various locations by the Tourism Department at a cost of ₹18.12 crore. Ministers Ministers E.V. Velu, M.P. Saminathan, R. Rajendran, S.M. Nasar and T.R.B. Rajaa; Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam and senior officials participated.
