Breaking the suspense, they revealed that they will be singing a Kathakali Padam, apparently for the first time on a TV show. Though the genre was not familiar in the reality show space, the duo just nailed it with perfection. From the improvisations to the clarity in rendition, they managed to impress not only the judges but also the co-contestants and the audience too.Soon after the performance, the judges, including KS Chithra, gave a standing ovation to the brilliant rendition."You guys took us to a whole other world. "I haven't seen a Kathakali Padam being sung in a reality show; may this be a trendsetter," the legendary singer said. She also praised the contestants for their flawless singing.On the other hand, celebrity judge Ramya Nambeesan thanked the contestants for their brilliant performance.
"Very, very happy that I could witness such a performance. You guys made it divine," said the actress-singer.Further, leaving everyone surprised, KS Chithra declared Golden Star for the performance. As per the rule, both Theertha and Swarna will get 5 points each in the Do or Die round.
Both Swarna and Theertha are two of the much-loved contestants in the top 10 list of Star Singer. Notably, it is the second golden star performance of Swarna in the Do or Die round.
In the last performance, she shared the stage with Gaayathri, and their rendition of Thaaye Yashodha gained much appreciation.Star Singer continues to win hearts with the exceptional performances of the contestants. The show, judged by KS Chithra, Vidhu Prathap, and Sithara Krishnakumar, is hosted by Mithun Ramesh and Varsha.
