T.N. election | Palaniswami has not only betrayed Tamils but also senior AIADMK leaders: Kanimozhi

Thoothukudi MP and DMK deputy general secretary Kanimozhi Karunanidhi contended on Wednesday (April 8, 2026) that Leader of the Opposition and AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami has not only betrayed the people of Tamil Nadu but also senior leaders of his own party, like former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s aide V.K. Sasikala, “who made him Chief Minister.”

Ms. Kanimozhi was campaigning in Tirupattur for Kavitha, the DMK candidate for the Jolarpet Assembly constituency, ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. She said that Mr. Palaniswami has not done any good for the people of Tamil Nadu during his years as the Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly after the 2021 polls.
