DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday (February 12, 2026) said the State will return a “zero” to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) that is committing “injustice” by denying funds due to Tamil Nadu.

In a post on X, Mr. Stalin asked: “Did they think we would sit back with folded hands and watch even if they gave Tamil Nadu zero in the Budget?”

“Condemning the Union BJP government that was acting with the sole intention of betraying Tamil Nadu, the Secular Progressive Alliance has raised its voice on behalf of the people of Tamil Nadu through protests,” he said, sharing photos of protests by the DMK and its alliance partners.

“In this democratic struggle of Tamil Nadu vs. NDA, Tamil Nadu will not bow its head. Tamil Nadu will win,” he added.
