Telangana | Facial Recognition Management System for all school staff launched 

Telangana School Education Department on Friday (August 1, 2025), in a State-wide launch, began Facial Recognition Management System for all school staff, an official release said. Facial recognition for attendance was launched as a pilot project in Peddapally district in December 2024. The exercise now includes both teaching and non-teaching staff working in government schools. Under the Department, in a total of 24,973 government schools, about 75% staff or 96,327 personnel registered on the facial recognition attendance app on Friday. Among them, about 93% of staff registered their attendance via the app on Friday, it said.
