Three Killed In Clash Between Two Groups At Wedding In Maharashtra's Dhule

As per the reports, tensions escalated when some relatives circulated objectionable messages and videos on WhatsApp. 

Panic spread in Dhule’s Pimpalner village after a clash between two groups turned fatal and claimed three lives. The dispute occurred during a wedding, and relatives who came to attend the celebrations attacked each other with knives at around 1 pm on Thursday. The incident killed three and gravely injured two others.

The attack took place during the wedding ceremony of the Gosavi community in Nilkanth Nagar, Pimpalner.

As per the preliminary reports, the attack happened while preparations for the Haldi ceremony were underway. Tensions were already high due to a dispute between relatives who had travelled from Sakri and Songad for the engagement party.

The atmosphere became increasingly volatile when some relatives circulated objectionable messages and videos via WhatsApp. According to police, this escalating tension led to the sudden attack with sharp weapons at the wedding venue.

The victims of this brutal attack include Devendra Dnyaneshwar Pawar (age 35) and Sureshgir Suresh, Mojgir Gosavi (age 55), both of whom were critically injured and subsequently admitted to the rural hospital. They succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

Other individuals injured in the attack—Sahil Suresh Gosavi, Pankaj Ashok Gir, Suresh Supdu Gir, and Sagar Gosavi—are currently receiving medical care, with one of the seriously injured being transferred to the district hospital for further treatment.
