Thunderstorm alert in 18 Telangana districts on February 23

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm alert for 18 Telangana districts for Monday (February 23, 2026).

According to the latest IMD bulletin, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see partly cloudy sky. “Hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 33C and 20C respectively,“ as per the bulletin.
