Trump names Vice President JD Vance 'Fraud Czar' to lead a new task force probing alleged fraud in Democrat led states and federal benefit programs

US President Donald Trump has given a new title to his deputy, JD Vance and said he will focus on investigating fraud in Democrat-ruled states in his new role as “Fraud Czar".

In a post shared by Trump on Truth Social, the US President on Friday said Vance’s focus will be “everywhere" but primarily in Democrat-run states — signalling out California, Illinois, Minnesota, Maine and New York.

“Vice President JD Vance is now in charge of ‘FRAUD’ in the United States. It is massive and pervasive, and the job he will be doing, in conjunction with many great people within the Trump administration, will be a major factor in how great the future of our country will be," Trump said.

“We will call him the “FRAUD CZAR," and his focus will be ‘everywhere’, but primarily in those blue states where crooked democrat politicians, like those in California, Illinois, Minnesota (Somalia beware!), Maine, New York, and many others, have had a “free for all" in the unprecedented theft of Taxpayer Money. The numbers are so large that, if successful, we would literally be able to balance our American Budget. Raids have already started in LA. Good Luck JD!" he added.

The development comes following Trump’s executive order to form a task force to investigate the president’s claims that federal funds intended for social-welfare programs are being stolen in some Democrat-led states.

Reports say that the task force will advise the president and coordinate government-wide efforts to combat widespread fraud, waste, and abuse in federal benefit programs.

The task forces will be headed by Vance, and the chairman of the Federal Trade Commission will serve as vice chairman; the assistant to the president for homeland security will serve as adviser, and an executive director will manage daily operations.
