As the gruesome murder of a 28-year-old woman – Nikki – in Greater Noida came to light, her father demanded that the accused husband be shot dead in an encounter for killing his daughter by setting her on fire, according to a report.
He also alleged that Vipin Bhati, the accused husband, was in a relationship with someone else and wanted Nikki out of the way.
A shocking murder case came to the fore in Greater Noida on Saturday after Vipin was arrested for allegedly brutally assaulting his wife and setting her on fire over a Rs 36 lakh dowry demand at their residence in Sirsa. The horrific videos of the incident surfaced online, showing him beating her and her on fire on the stairs. As she was being transferred from Fortis Hospital in Noida to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, she succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.
Demanding the strictest punishment for his daughter’s killers, Nikki’s father, Bhikari Singh Payla, told NDTV, “They are killers, they should be shot, their home razed. My daughter was bringing up her son by running a parlour. They tortured her. The whole family was involved in the conspiracy, and they killed my daughter."
