US President Donald Trump warned of possible action against Iran over its support for Hezbollah, prompting a sharp response from Iran’s chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who cautioned Washington against using inflammatory rhetoric.

According to the Iranian delegation, the discussions covered the situation in Lebanon, security in the Strait of Hormuz, the release of frozen Iranian assets, and temporary relief from oil-related sanctions.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said Israeli troops would remain in southern Lebanon for as long as necessary, while Hezbollah vowed to confront any breach of the ceasefire agreement.
