US-Israel-Iran War News Today Live Updates: U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday that Washington did not need a deal with Iran for the enriched uranium, stressing there was “no reason” to do so.

“We could ​get it right now. I don’t think ​they could stop ⁠us if we wanted, ​but ​there’s no reason ⁠to. It’s entombed,” he told reporters ​in the White House.

Trump said he did not want to meet with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.

However, he added if the two sides reached a deal, it was possible that he would meet the Iranian leader. “If it happened … I’d be respectful”, he said.

Trump Slams House Voting On Iran War

President Donald Trump slammed a vote in the House, aiming to prevent the administration from ordering more attacks on Iran without the Congressional nod. Describing the move as “meaningless”, he said the “unpatriotic” move disturbed his ongoing negotiations with Tehran.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the voting came “right in the middle of my final negotiations to end the War with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

“Who would do such an unpatriotic thing. They know where the negotiations stand. The Democrats are fueled by Trump Derangement Syndrome”, he added.

In what can be seen as a notable rebuke of the President, four members of his majority Republicans joined Democrats on Wednesday, backing the largely symbolic vote that now heads to the Senate.

Israel-Hezbollah Ceasefire

Israel and Lebanon agreed to a conditional ceasefire, pressing for a “complete cessation” of fire by Iran-backed Hezbollah, as per a joint statement after the U.S.-brokered talks in Washington.

The ceasefire also called for the evacuation of Hezbollah operatives from southern Lebanon. Despite the announcement, the hostilities in Beirut continued, with both sides exchanging fire on Thursday.

According to an Al Jazeera report, a family of three was killed after an Israeli strike on their vehicle in southern Lebanon.
