VD Satheesan's praise for rivals Venugopal, Chennithala after being named Kerala CM

Congress leader VD Satheesan, who has been picked by the party as the next Chief Minister of Kerala, thanked his fellow contenders for the top post -- KC Venugopal and Ramesh Chennithala -- for their efforts in securing the party’s emphatic victory in the state, asserting that the mandate was not a personal achievement.

Seeking to present a united front within the party, Satheesan said KC Venugopal had been coordinating the Congress leadership’s efforts in Kerala on a daily basis, while Chennithala, who served as the campaign committee chairperson, had worked tirelessly for the party’s victory.
