Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy on Sunday (December 07, 2025) accused former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of trying to derive political mileage out of the MP’s gesture made “out of compassion” for a needy person.

He was responding to a comment by the YSRCP president after the MP gave ₹50,000 in the form of a cheque to one Appanna from Srikakulam as his family was struggling to make ends meet.

The MP was speaking after distributing tricycles during an event organised by his VPR Foundation in Nellore constituency. The tricycles were handed over to physically challenged persons by Minister for Municipal Administration and local legislator P. Narayana.

Mr. Narayana lauded the foundation for reaching out to the poor even before the family came into active politics.
