Video: BJP leader's cousin attacks gym operator with sword in parking dispute

A dispute over car parking in Indore’s Aerodrome area turned violent, with a gym operator being attacked with a sword, creating panic in the locality.

The video of the incident has gone viral. A neighbour attacked gym operator Ashu Vyas with a sword on 60 Feet Road, causing chaos in the area.

During the attack, the survivor blocked the sword with his hand, saving his life, though he sustained injuries. Locals intervened and brought the situation under control.

The incident was captured on a mobile phone and is now circulating on social media. Based on the viral video, police have initiated a probe. However, according to the station in-charge, no formal complaint has yet been filed.

According to reports, the accused has been identified as Rakesh Khandelwal, cousin of BJP leader Kamlesh Khandelwal. The attack allegedly took place after a dispute over parking between neighbours escalated. Despite the assault, locals intervened quickly, preventing a major tragedy.

It is also alleged that when the survivor approached the police station, pressure was exerted by influential individuals to settle the matter and avoid registering a case. Later, both parties reportedly reached a compromise at the police station on Monday evening.

However, after the video showing the use of a dangerous weapon surfaced, the police said they are taking the matter seriously and have launched a detailed investigation to ensure law and order is maintained.
