American golfer Bryson DeChambeau had an awkward moment that quickly spread across social media during a LIV Golf event in Singapore. The two-time major champion slipped and fell near a bunker while playing his third round at Sentosa Golf Club.

The strange moment happened on the fifth hole when DeChambeau tried to hit his second shot toward the green. His feet were close to the bunker edge. As soon as he struck the ball, he lost his balance and tumbled forward into the sand. The fall looked painful and also a bit embarrassing. Cameras caught him lying on his stomach as he tried to get back up. His shoes kept sliding in the sand, making it harder for him to stand. To make things worse, the ball he hit landed in another bunker.

The clip quickly spread online, where many fans reacted with jokes and comments. While the moment was awkward, DeChambeau still stayed close to the leaders after finishing the round.

The incident happened early in the third round when Bryson DeChambeau was playing the fifth hole. Standing close to the bunker edge, he swung his iron toward the green. But the ground under his feet shifted. Within seconds he slipped forward and fell into the sand.

For a few moments, DeChambeau struggled to stand up because the sand kept sliding under his shoes. The shot he played also did not help his score, as the ball rolled into another bunker nearby.Soon after, the video began spreading on social media. Some fans joked about the fall and used it to criticize the LIV Golf league. One fan wrote, “If you fall in a LIV golf tournament does it count because no one is around to see it?” Another fan added, “Well isn’t that just LIV Golf summed up in one clip?” A third viewer commented, “My word this looks awful.

You just know he wishes he was at Sawgrass.”Despite the moment, DeChambeau managed to finish his third round with a one-over-par 72. The score left him tied for third place, just one shot behind the leaders, Joaquin Niemann and Lee Westwood. At the same time, attention in the United States was focused on the The Players Championship in Florida at TPC Sawgrass. Tournament officials there faced a serious situation after a shooting took place near the course.According to Rob Hardwick from the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office, two people were shot late Friday night in the parking lot of a nearby Walgreens store. Authorities said the suspect, identified as Christian Barrios, fled the scene before police later arrested him in Nassau County on Saturday morning.Even though the incident happened outside the golf course, officials delayed opening the gates for fans during Saturday’s round. The PGA Tour said the decision was made for “operational considerations.” Gates opened at 9 a.m., while hospitality areas began operating later at 11 a.m.The golf itself continued as planned, but the unusual week included both DeChambeau’s viral fall in Singapore and the security concerns surrounding the tournament in Florida.
