‘Wars & conflict continue to rage on in parts of the world’Citing last year’s Pahalgam attack, EU Ambassador Hervé Delphin said, “A year ago, this moment of celebration was overshadowed by the heinous terrorist attack at Pahalgam that took the lives of innocent victims and led to the four-day war and Operation Sindoor. On that occasion, we paid tribute to them with a minute of silence.
This year, unfortunately, wars and conflict continue to rage on in different parts of the world, with a direct impact on our society, on our economies, and on the well-being of our citizens.
”Picking up on the ambassador’s reference, Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman, said, “A year ago, during Operation Sindoor, our armed forces showcased their valour and gave a firm response to those who attacked our people.
Operation Sindoor reflected India’s firm response against terrorism and an unflinching commitment to safeguarding national security. India remains committed in its resort to defeat terrorism and destroy its enabling ecosystem.
