Who is Drew Pavlou? Australian activist claims Billie Eilish got him 'deported from US'

Australian activist Drew Pavlou claims Billie Eilish's legal team led to his deportation from the US after a 'performance art' attempt to enter her Malibu mansion. He spent 30 hours at LAX immigration, explaining his actions. Agents questioned his past activism and visa status, ultimately stating he needs a different visa for future US visits.

Australian activist Drew Pavlou's viral stunt against Grammy-winning singer Billie Eilish has ended with him being 'deported from the US', after he attempted to enter the country on what he described as a "performance art" mission aimed at moving into the 'Wildflower' singer's Malibu mansion.

Recently, the activist took to X to share an update on his performance art, claiming that Billie Eilish got him deported from America and he believed that her legal team contacted the DHS. The 24-year-old Brisbane-born controversial influencer shared he spent '30 hours' at LAX immigration explaining his series of posts targeting Eilish's home. However, while the agents were "nice and laughed at the idea" there was nothing he could do to protect himself from being deported. "Maybe evil leftists are still in charge of sections of the bureaucracy I guess some people are in fact actually illegal on stolen land And I guess I am just a BAD GUY…." he wrote in the X post while also claiming to be one of the most "misunderstood theorists/artists of the 21st century."He shared in a following post that the agents questioned him about whether he planned to trespass on Billie Eilish's property and whether he was planning to meet her, both of which he replied to negatively.

From his threats to the Chinese government to his 2022 arrest in London, he was questioned on everything and then suggested that he should have applied for a "business visa" to go on Stephen Crowder's show in Texas, which he had been invited to. "They didn’t ban me from the US but they said I have to apply with a different visa next time," he wrote.

Who is Drew Pavlou?

Drew Pavlou is a political activist and influencer who has launched a crowdfunding campaign to fly to the US and move into Billie Eilish's Los Angeles mansion.

In a previous X post, he shared a link to the now-defunct GoFundMe and wrote, “I am flying to the USA next Friday to attempt to move into Billie Eilish’s beachside Malibu mansion. No human being is illegal on stolen land. Support my travel and filming costs here”.The campaign initially raised about $3000 before it was deleted as the company could not “verify your connection and plan to transfer the donations to the person you’re raising money for,” an email shared by Pavlou stated, according to the New York Post.Pavlou then started a new fundraiser on the GiveSendGo website, asking for about $2,840 to fly and buy the singer's beachfront home. "Everything here is completely and totally legal, I am just going to set up a tent on her driveway and I will leave when they formally ask me to leave," Pavlou stated, echoing Eilish’s own words: "No human being is illegal on stolen land."However, Eilish currently lives on a ranch in Glendale, California, which ironically sits on land historically belonging to the Tongva tribe, the Indigenous people of the greater Los Angeles Basin.

The property the activist was referring to was owned by her brother, Finneas O'Connell and sold in 2022 for $5.6 million, as per the Los Angeles Times. Additionally, the mansion was destroyed in the Palisades fire and Pavlou was unaware of the development while creating the campaign.

Billie Eilish's Grammy Speech

At the 2026 Grammy Awards, singer Billie Eilish appeared while donning an 'ICE OUT' pin on her outfit and an anti-ICE speech while receiving her award. Speaking on the recent immigration enforcement in the country, she said, “As grateful as I feel, I honestly don't feel like I need to say anything but that no one is illegal on stolen land,” she said. “And f-ck ICE, that's all I'm gonna say. Sorry!”The singer faced extreme backlash for her comment with British journalist Julia Hartley-Brewer calling her a "blithering idiot" in an explosive X post. "Of course, if she really means it, then she’ll happily hand over her multi-million pound Malibu beachfront home to illegal migrants. Which she won’t, because it’s all just silly celeb posturing."Similar to Pavlou, GB News reporter Ben Leo visited her LA mansion asking to be let in, but was met with a massive locked fence around the property as per the video.
