Hyderabad: Attapur police were on tenterhooks after receiving a complaint about the alleged kidnapping of an unidentified woman from a hospital on Tuesday night. However, during the investigation on Wednesday, police traced the woman and found that it was not a case of kidnapping.According to police, they received a Dial-100 call from a hospital security guard, who reported that a woman had entered the hospital premises claiming that her life was in danger. She allegedly hid herself inside a washroom.A few minutes later, several men arrived at the hospital searching for her and eventually made her come out. An argument reportedly broke out, following which the woman was taken away. Suspecting it to be a kidnapping case, the hospital security alerted the police, who registered a case of kidnapping.A special team was formed, and by Wednesday evening, police traced the woman to her residence. During questioning, police learned that she had earlier argued with her male friend. Following the dispute, the friend booked a cab for her to return home. However, the woman got out of the cab midway through the journey.When her friend realised this, he sent some of his acquaintances to locate her. Already distressed, the woman panicked on seeing them and ran into the hospital premises.Police later confirmed that the men who took her away were known to her. However, officers are continuing to investigate the manner in which the woman, who was reportedly in distress, was made to sit in the car and taken away.
