YMCA, Kendra Sahitya Akademi to organise symposium on Saturday

The Kendra Sahitya Akademi and the YMCA Thiruvananthapuram are organising a national symposium on Saturday (February 21, 2026) on the topic ‘Narratives on the aged: literature and ageing in medical critical humanities discourse.’ Kerala University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor Mohanan Kunnummal will inaugurate the symposium at 10 a.m. YMCA president Arthur Jacob will chair the session. Former Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Kerala Jancy James will deliver the introductory remarks.
