Ahan Shetty, who is making a grand comeback after a four-year break since his debut movie ‘Tadap’(2021) with the much-anticipated movie 'Border 2'. This afternoon, the teaser of the movie was unveiled in Mumbai.
Amid the buzz, during the teaser launch Ahan found himself overwhelmed with emotions.
His admiration for Sunny Deol and first days on set
Ahan Shetty expressed deep respect for his co-star Sunny Deol, calling him “an absolute legend”. Sharing the stage with Sunny felt special, he said, “Sunny sir did Border with my father, so in a way, I am carrying that legacy forward.”Talking about his early days on set, Ahan admitted he felt completely shaken. He described those initial moments as intimidating, he said, “The first few days, I was petrified. My hands were shaking,”The scale of the film, the legacy attached to it, and the responsibility of playing an Air Force officer made the experience intense.
Yet, that fear also pushed him to give his best.
The pressure, the nerves, and his father’s advice
Ahan did not hide the pressure he felt while being part of a film so close to audience emotions. “There is a certain kind of pressure, but as they say, baap toh baap hota hai (Afterall a father is a father). If I can even be 10% of what my father was in that film, I think I will be able to do justice to the character”, he further added.Before the shoot began, he said his father Suniel Shetty offered grounded advice, “He told me to just be honest, be myself and have fun. He also said not to think too much about what people have to say and not to compare Border 2 with Border,”

A spiritual sequel, 'Border 2' continues the legacy of J.P. Dutta’s 1997 classic, ‘Border’. The movie is directed by Anurag Singh, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan,
Diljit Dosanjh
, Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh,
Paramvir Cheema
and Medha Rana. The movie is set to hit theaters on January 23, 2026.
