As 2025 draws to a close, Chunky Panday reflects on a year filled with milestones, family achievements, unexpected surprises, and true to his personality, a fair dose of madness.

In an exclusive year-ender conversation with ETimes, the actor opened up about what made this year special, what didn’t go as planned, and the craziest thing he ended up doing.

Lucky 2025 for Pandays

“It’s been a great year for all the Pandeys,” Chunky beams when asked to sum up the year. He reflected, “It’s been a great year for all the Pandeys. Starting with Ananya as she had an early-year release, 'Kesari,' for which she got so many accolades.

Then Ahaan arrived on the screen with 'Saiyaara'… My God!."He further added that even his wife had a wonderful year professionally. “My Bollywood wife also had a great year,” he added. On the personal front, his elder daughter’s academic journey made him proud too. “My daughter has been studying well in New York. But most important is that we all stayed healthy and that’s how a year really becomes good.” On being asked what Chunky Panday planned but couldn’t achieve this year, he jovially stated, "I wanted to win the lottery,” he jokes. “But I didn’t win. What to do now?”

Chunky Panday's surprise visit to KBC

One of Chunky’s biggest surprises of 2025 came from a place he least expected—television’s most iconic quiz show.

“I landed up on KBC this year,” he reveals. “I gate-crashed KBC! It hasn’t aired yet, but when it does, you’ll be surprised. Watch it.”He refuses to give more details, adding only that it wasn’t for a promotion When asked about the craziest thing he did, Chunky gave an honest answer. "Trying to buy the White House,” he shared. With Chunky Panday, craziness is never in short supply. When asked about the wildest thing he did in 2025, he thinks for a moment before bursting out laughing.

“I do one crazy thing every day!” he admitted.

A reunion after 35 years

2025 also brought him a heartwarming reunion. “I bumped into someone I had worked with 35 years ago,” he shared. “In Washington, of all places!” Chunky explains that he had performed a show with the man decades ago. “And now I go back after 35 years and do a show again, for his wife. At that time he hadn’t even met her! How the world goes around in ," the actor signed off.
