Erling Haaland isn’t just built different — he lives different.
In a new YouTube video titled “Day in the Life of a Pro Footballer," the Manchester City striker gives fans a rare look at his world: one that’s equal parts science, steak, and superstition.
The clip opens with Haaland making his morning coffee. His secret ingredient? Maple syrup.
“Coffee is a superfood, if done right," he says, stirring the sweet stuff in like it’s rocket fuel.
Breakfast is simple but spotless — fried eggs and fresh bread delivered daily — all cooked by Haaland himself (no private chef here). He and his girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, eat together before his first workout of the day.
Then it’s time to get serious.
Haaland hits his home gym, where City’s sports therapist Mario Pafundi works on his recovery and soft tissue. After that, he steps in front of a red light therapy machine — his stand-in for sunlight during gloomy Cheshire mornings.
The man takes his wellness seriously, even when it looks a little sci-fi.
When the workout’s done, Haaland heads to Greenoaks Farm to stock up on his favorites: tomahawk steaks, raw milk, and local honey. Back home, he marinates the meat, hops into an ice bath, and fires up his outdoor grill.
“This is going to be absolutely lovely," he says with a grin, flipping the massive steaks like a pro. Moments later, he’s eating them as is: no cutlery, just vibes.
Haaland says he started his YouTube channel to show fans what really goes into being at the top. “People always see the matches, the goals, the celebrations, but not the hours that go into being ready for all of that," he explains.
With 24 goals in 14 games already this season, it’s safe to say the maple syrup, red lights, and ice baths are working.
