Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday (January 5) directed Ministers and officials to focus on ‘Speed of Delivering Governance’ across all sectors to achieve the best possible results.
Addressing a review meeting on Real-Time Governance at the Secretariat, he said surprise inspections must be held and emphasis laid on continuous review of the public services and schemes being delivered to the citizens.
He noted that government departments were offering nearly 800 services to the public and called for efforts for their effective delivery. The CM pointed out that the number of farmer suicides has come down significantly due to the financial assistance and support provided by the government.
He suggested that at least 50% of the solid waste in rural areas should be recycled in order to realize the Swachh Andhra - Swarnandhra vision. Further, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said officials should adopt the best practices in implementing government schemes and programmes.
Besides, they should collect public feedback on a real-time basis by using IVRS, QR codes, and other digital tools. Later, the CM released the New Year Calendar of Swarna Gramam-Swarna Ward Department along with Ministers Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy (Social Welfare) and Kolusu Parthasarathi and senior officials.
