The State government has on Saturday issued orders according administrative sanction for an amount of ₹1,733 crore for eight water supply projects and nine underground drainage projects to be taken up in various urban local bodies under the Urban Infrastructure Development Fund.
The sanction has been divided into three packages each under water supply and underground drainage. Under package 1, a total ₹57.12 crore has been sanctioned for water supply improvement scheme in Kagaznagar and Bhainsa municipalities.
Water supply improvement scheme for Greater Warangal (₹551.54 crore) and Khammam (₹200 crore), and underground drainage schemes for Mahabubnagar (₹603 crore) , Siddipet (₹141.34 crore), and Karimnagar (₹180 crore) have been divided into five separate packages with a collective funding of ₹1,675.88 crore. Of the total, ₹1,230.93 crore will be funded by the National Housing Bank, and the remaining by the State government.
