The most anticipated Malayalam movie ‘Rachel’ was expected to hit theatres on December 12. Instead, it gets postponed again. The makers shared the update on Instagram, confirming that the team decided to hold the release to ensure a better theatrical window.

The team posted a brief note explaining that they reviewed the current release climate and felt a shift was necessary. They emphasised that the decision was taken to give audiences the best possible viewing experience.They wrote, “Considering the timing and overall release landscape, we are rescheduling the release to ensure the best experience for our audience.”

Directed by debutante Anandhini Bala, Rachel was first announced to hit cinemas on January 10 then December 6, but it faces multiple delays. The movie brings together a strong lineup. Honey Rose leads the film, playing a butcher, intense character. This movie also marks her comeback . Baburaj joins her in another key performance. The supporting cast features Chandu Salimkumar, Radhika Radhakrishnan, Roshan Basheer, Pauly Valsan, Jaffar Idukki, Dinesh Prabhakar, Vineeth Thattil David, Vanditha Manoharan, and Joji K John. Cinematography is by Swaroop Philip, music by Ishaan Chhabra, and the movie is edited by Manoj.The movie will be released in 5 languages: Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
