Nitin Nabin takes charge as BJP national working president

In a grand welcome ceremony in Delhi, Bihar's Nitin Nabin officially stepped into the role of BJP's national working president. Surrounded by party leaders like J.P. Nadda and Amit Shah, he expressed gratitude for their guidance and support.

Patna: Bihar minister Nitin Nabin, who has been appointed as the national working president of the BJP, formally took charge of his new assignment at the party’s headquarters in Delhi on Monday.The event was marked by the presence of prominent figures such as BJP president and Union health minister J P Nadda; Union home minister Amit Shah; Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, among others.Nitin Nabin expressed his gratitude for the elevation, describing it as a blessing from the party. He emphasised that the BJP is unique in its ability to nurture and promote grassroots workers, allowing them to rise through the ranks based on merit and dedication.Nadda, in his congratulatory remarks, expressed confidence in Nitin’s leadership. He highlighted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nitin would steer the BJP towards new heights in public service and nation-building. Nadda encouraged Nitin to further disseminate the BJP govt’s public welfare policies and the party’s core ideas with renewed vigour. “I extend my best wishes for your new responsibilities and successful tenure,” Nadda stated in a post on X.

Union home minister extended his congratulations, expressing his belief that Nitin’s leadership would facilitate the BJP’s expansion and ensure that the Modi govt’s policies and the party’s ideology reach every corner of the nation. “I pray to God for your successful tenure,” Shah mentioned in his message on X.Following the formal assumption of his new role, Nitin engaged in discussions with Shah, Nadda, and Pradhan, focusing on the strategic direction of the party.

Nitin’s journey to Delhi began with a flight from Patna, arriving at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, where he was warmly received by Delhi DM and other BJP leaders. Gupta, along with several ministerial colleagues, was present at the headquarters to witness Nitin’s assumption of his new responsibilities.In a gesture of respect and tradition, Nitin sought the blessings of veteran BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi and defence minister Rajnath Singh after taking charge.Earlier in the day, while addressing reporters in Patna, Nitin pledged to continue the legacy of his late father, former BJP MLA Nabin Kishor Prasad Sinha. He paid homage to his father by paying floral tributes at his statue in a local park and visited Patna’s Mahavir Mandir to offer prayers, underscoring his commitment to his roots and the values instilled by his father.
