In Bihar’s Banka district, a shocking love story has captured public attention for defying age differences and social norms. A 60-year-old woman reportedly fell in love with a man nearly half her age—a 35-year-old resident of Ara.

According to a report in NDTV India, the unusual affair came to light on Sunday, January 11, at Amarpur bus stand when the woman’s husband and son reportedly caught the couple red-handed.

60-Year-Old Bihar Woman Falls In Love With 35-Year-Old Man

According to reports, the 60-year-old woman had allegedly been involved with the 35-year-old man, identified as Vakil Mishra. On Sunday, the woman and man were spotted together at the Amarpur bus stand by her family. Her husband and son soon arrived and confronted Vakil, reportedly thrashing him in front of the crowd. The woman’s husband and children were deeply upset and refused to accept the relationship.

The public scuffle caused chaos at the bus stand, with many bystanders gathering to watch the dramatic confrontation.

A video that surfaced online shows the woman crying and holding the man. In the clip, she is heard saying, “Ye mera pati hai. Maine shadi razi khushi se kiya hai (This is my husband. I got married to him willingly and happily)." She is seen embracing him and crying while onlookers ask what has happened.

As the couple faced the anger of the woman’s family, local residents intervened to prevent further violence and escorted them to the Amarpur police station for safety.

How A ‘Wrong Number’ Call Led To A Relationship

As per the report, the unusual relationship began with a “wrong number" phone call about four months ago. That call led to her first conversation with Vakil Mishra. Their discussions turned into a romance, and the two later arranged to meet at Bhagalpur railway station.

The woman claimed that after meeting, they travelled together to Ludhiana, where they were married with mutual consent and began living as husband and wife.

“Hum dono ek dusre se pyaar karte hain aur Ludhiana mein shaadi kar chuke hain (We both love each other and have already gotten married in Ludhiana)," she told police as quoted by NDTV India.

Police Custody Amid Family Backlash

The couple was taken into police custody for their safety as tensions ran high. Authorities have started investigating the matter carefully and are looking into both the family dispute and the legal aspects of the case.
