New Delhi: Sandisk has recently introduced its Sandisk Extreme Fit USB-C flash drive in India. Sandisk has describes it as the world’s smallest 1TB USB-C flash drive. This ultra-compact USB-C flash drive is been positioned by the Sandisk as plug and stay storage option, by emphaising its small size, compact enough to remain connected to laptop without needing to be removed frequently.
It comes in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage variants apart from 1TB storage. Sandsik Extreme Fit was introduced globally last November, and now it has made its way to India.
The drive is built for the slim USB-C laptops and tablets where the users might want to extend storage without carrying the external drivers.
The device is intended for the professionals, students and everyday the users who need the quick file transfer and extra storage while working or studying on the move. Now, let’s discuss about the pricing:

- 128GB is priced at Rs 2,799
- 256GB is priced at Rs 4,899

Sandisk Extreme Fit uses the L-shaped form factor, it connects through USB-C port but sits slightly upright instead of expanding straight outward, by enabling to stay nearly flush when attached to laptop. Sandisk has also refers to this as plug and stay design by suggesting that the users can leave it connected and use it as semi-permanent storage extension.
The 128GB and higher models offer transfer speeds up to 400MB/s while the 64GB variant supports speeds up to 300MB/s. In terms of connectivity it supports work across laptops, tablets and other USB-C devices.
Extreme Fit USB-C flash drive is also compatible with the Sandisk Memory Zone application for Windows and macOS.
This application allows the users to organize files, back up photos, reclaim device storage and restore data when necessary. It also offers the option to set up automatic backups using the drive.
