The latest episode of Shark Tank India season 5 started with Emomee's educational and emotional intelligence toys. The Mumbai based husband-wife duo of Varun Duggirala and Pooja Jauhar entered Shark Tank India stage by playing a catchy song for kids.
They spoke about their brand Emomee, a micro-story universe with a new drop every day on the YouTube channel. They also mention about their years of experience in the creative and advertising ecosystem. As co-founders of a digital agency, Varun and Pooja have shaped some of India’s most influential brand stories and have worked closely with leading consumer brands, even before they started Emomee.Their seek Rs 1 crore for 2% equity. As soon as they finish the pitch, Aman Gupta gets up from his chair and hugs them. He reveals they were finest creative company's of India and they designed the entire creative program, production and strategy for his brand.Now, they are using their experience to create an original kids’ brand based on a 3S model—Screen, Stage, and Shop. Made to grow worldwide, Emomee smartly uses data, AI, and digital platforms to reach global audiences without big launches or aggressive promotion. They brand focus to kids from age 3 to 8. The strategy is to upload one video everyday on their YouTube channel since April 2025. They have managed to build from 1000 subscribers to 1 million subscribers between April to August 2025.
Emomee's strategy is 3s first they launched YouTube content, shows, movies and others, in the next phase they will be setting up a play area and lastly within the play area, they will sell physical toys. Pooja shares their vision is Walt Disney where kids enjoy the experience and leave buying the toys.After hearing their pitch, Namita makes an offer of Rs 1 crore for 2 percent equity at the valuation of Rs 50 crores. Aman Gupta is the next to make an offer, followed by Mohit Yadav and Kunal Bahl.
All of them make the same offer. Pooja shares she always manifested offers from all Sharks. During Anupam Mittal's turn, he points out few areas where Pooja and Varun needs to work. He says, "I think you are still dabbling, you haven't figured out this area.
You come from a creative background, aapne agency work kiya hai. How to create scale an IP that is new. But frankly I'm so excited and passionate that I can't just do this for 1 or 2 percent.
I've done this toh mujhe aata hai. I've produced films, I've build Appy store. Toh main leta Rs 2 crores for maybe for 10 percent and work very closely. But that's not possible today. And what might be possible which you have to think kaun ismein zyaada kaam karna chahta hai."He makes an offer of Rs 2 crore for 5 percent at the valuation at Rs 40 crores. Both Varun and Pooja get excited after receiving offers from five Sharks and ask for time to think about the deal.
Aman tries to convince them, "I think content is king, but distribution is God. Content Varun banata rahega, Pooja aap aur main distrivution par kaam karenge." Anupam also tries to persuade them and says, "Nobody knows better digital distribution than me in this country for digital products.
"Aman takes a dig at Anupam and asks, "Why then some of your companies close down?" Anupam also hits back at him and says, "Bhai teri toh naukri nahi bachi yaar."Namita interrupts and tries to calm down both Aman and Anupam. She says, "Aap ladwa rahe ho...Yahan toh ladayi hogayi hai." She comes up with an idea and asks all the Sharks to jointly make them an offer, but Aman refuses saying, "I am not doing the five Sharks, I don't like him anymore (Anupam).Varun and Pooja return with a counter offer Rs 2 crores for 4 percent equity at the valuation of Rs 50 crores. They close the deal with Aman and Namita.
