UP Police 2025 recruitment: Three-year age relaxation announced for all constable categories

Finally, there is good news for young people in Uttar Pradesh who wanted to join the UP Police. If you missed applying before because of the age limit, you now have another chance. The Yogi government has announced a major relief, giving a uniform three-year age relaxation for all categories in the UP Police recruitment for 2025.The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) has started the online application process. A total of 32,679 posts are open under direct recruitment for Constable Civil Police and equivalent positions. You can apply online if you meet the age and educational requirements.Online application and eligibility detailsThe online application link is active on the Board's official website - uppbpb.gov.in.

Candidates should note that it will remain open until January 30, 2026. Candidates, who have passed class 12th, can apply for various constable posts. This includes Constable Civil Police, Constable PAC, Constable Special Security Force (SSF), Female Constable for Women Battalion, Jail Warden (Male and Female), and Mounted Police.This year, the age relaxation applies equally to all categories. Previously, many candidates could not apply due to age limits.

Now, male candidates aged 18 to 25 years and female candidates aged 18 to 28 years are eligible, with an extra three years added to this limit.

Vacancy details for male and female candidatesIt may be noted that, out of the total 32,679 vacancies, 30,291 are reserved for male candidates, that includes Constable Civil Police, Constable PAC, SSF, Mounted Police, and Jail Warden (Male). For female candidates, there are 2,388 vacancies, which includes Female Battalion and Jail Warden positions.The highest number of vacancies are for Constable PAC which have 15,131 posts, followed by Constable Civil Police with 10,469. Other posts include Special Security Force (1,341), Female Battalion (2,282), Mounted Police (71), Jail Warden Male (3,279), and Jail Warden Female (106). Category-wise vacancies include UR, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST candidates.Selection process and salaryThe recruitment process includes an online written examination, followed by the document verification, physical standard test (PST), physical efficiency test (PET), and the medical examination. Once selected, the candidates will receive a salary ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 depending on the post.You can check detailed post-wise and category-wise vacancies on the official notification.
