 Gunther defeats AJ Styles, CM Punk's next challenger, explosive No.1 contenders match and more

WWE Monday Night RAW aired its January 13, 2026, episode from PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany. An action-packed night featured exciting matches, a huge face-off between CM Punk and Finn Balor, who are set to collide for the World Heavyweight title next week in Belfast, Ireland, and a blockbuster main event match between Gunther and AJ Styles.The show opened with the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky. As they addressed their title win, they were interrupted by Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria. Both teams wanted a title shot, leading Asuka and Kairi Sane to also appear and pull the champions out of the ring. However l, as the dust settled, Ripley and Sky stood tall as others retreated.

Je’Von Evans vs Bravo Americano

Despite being outnumbered by Rayo and El Grande Americano outside the ring, Je’Von Evans gave a dynamic in-ring debut performance against Bravo Americano on RAW.

The match ended with his victory as Evans hit the jumpcutter from the top rope to secure the win. The three masked luchadors attempted to corner him after the match as he was standing on the announcer's desk, but he landed a spectacular jump and made an escape.

The Kabuki Warriors vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. Liv Morgan & Roxanne

Following their altercation earlier in the night, the three sides met in a triple threat tag team match to determine the No.1 contenders for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

A thrilling encounter saw Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez hit their finishers on Bayley in the end and Morgan pinning her to claim the victory and a shot at Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky’s titles.

Penta & Dragon Lee vs Bronson Reed & Austin Theory

The sensational clash featured The Vision’s Bronson Reed and Austin Theory competing against Penta & Dragon Lee in a tag team match. While Logan Paul attempted to run interference, the referee called for the bell as Bron Breakker suddenly appeared and speared Lee in the aisle, awarding his team the win by DQ.

AJ Styles vs Gunther

The explosive main event featured the first-time between AJ Styles and Gunther. It was a classic display of a great technical wrestling match as both men had major heat with each other. The match came to an end as Styles believed that he made Gunther tap out with the Calf Crusher.
