Rubio, who was in India earlier this week, acknowledged concerns over racist incidents but stressed that the US remains a welcoming nation for immigrants from across the world.

A shocking video circulating on social media has sparked outrage after a US man was seen confronting an Indian couple and telling them to “go back" to India.

The clip was shared on X by a user identified as “AyTone4th", who captioned the post: “I encountered some incredible H-1B Indians, and I had to let them know something!"

In the video, the man approaches the couple and asks whether they are from India. After the couple replies in the affirmative, he goes on to ask, “Do you like America? Which country is better — America or India?"

Responding calmly, the Indian man says both countries have their own positives, adding that India offers the warmth of family, while every place has its own value.

The exchange, however, soon turns hostile. The American man is heard saying, “India is so incredible, why don’t you just stay in India? Why do you have to come to America?"

When the couple replies that they wanted “to explore the world", the man responds aggressively, saying, “No, we don’t want you here. You got to go home. Okay? Get out of my country."

Marco Rubio’s ‘Stupid People’ Comment For Racists

The viral video surfaced just days after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio strongly condemned racist remarks targeting Indian Americans in the United States. Rubio, who was in India earlier this week, acknowledged concerns over such incidents but stressed that the United States remains a welcoming nation for immigrants from across the world.

Responding to questions on racist comments against Indians, Rubio said, “I’ll take that very seriously about the comments. I’m sure there are people who have made comments online and in other places because every country in the world has stupid people."

“There are stupid people in the United States who make dumb comments all the time. The United States is a very welcoming country. Our nation has been enriched by people who come to our country from all over the world," he added.
