Renowned educator Khan Sir has launched a scathing attack on the National Testing Agency (NTA) after the NEET-UG 2026 exam was cancelled. The cancellation, announced on May 12, comes nine days after the medical entrance test was conducted on May 3, amid allegations of paper leak.

Khan Sir expressed deep frustration over the recurring exam malpractices in India. He has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to look into paper leaks.

“This is nothing short of playing games with the lives of lakhs of students," Khan Sir stated. “Their confidence is being shattered, and the most unfortunate part is that just two years ago, in 2024, the exact same incidents occurred."

He pointed out that despite a high-profile CBI inquiry into the 2024 irregularities, the system appears to have remained porous. “A CBI inquiry was conducted, yet it yielded absolutely no results," he added, highlighting a perceived lack of accountability within the testing framework.

“The most astonishing thing is that no government agency detected or reported this paper leak; rather, it was the students themselves who were the first to alert the government to the situation," he said.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) cancelled the NEET examination held on May 3 and announced a reexamination following the leakage of question papers.

Khan sir demanded strict punishment for the mastermind of the paper leaks.

“30% of the students who come here to study are those whose mothers have either mortgaged their jewellery, whose fathers have mortgaged their farmland, or who are working as daily wage labourers somewhere. When such students arrive, there is no one to listen to their grievances. The UPSC conducts examinations, and it manages to conduct them quite competently. The NTA has descended into sheer misconduct… As long as that ultimate mastermind and the entire nexus are not dismantled—and as long as he is not publicly punished—these things will continue unabated," he said.

Khan sir said that education and children form the core foundation of a nation, warning that any weakening of this foundation could have serious consequences for the country over the next two decades. He stressed that the issue deserves a detailed investigation and urged the Prime Minister to personally intervene.
